Noah was a prophet in the Bible who was born circa 2948 BC in Mesopotamia. He built an ark in order to save himself, his family, and two of most animal species from a flood sent by God, who was highly disgusted of what humanity turned into. Noah was the only person at that time pleasing God. It took Noah 120 years to build the ark. His ark landed on Mount Ararat, which is in modern day Turkey. The first rainbow appeared in the sky afterwards as God’s promise to never flood the Earth again. Noah’s date of death was around 1998 BC. Noah’s three sons were named Ham, Shem, and Japheth. His three sons were the ancestors of Hamitic, Semitic, and Indo-European people respectively.
